Having worked on film sets as an assistant director alongside renowned filmmakers, Karine Sprzeuzkouski naturally turned to writing.
After several years as a literary director for major series such as RIS and Section de Recherches, she embarked on a career as a screenwriter.
With a background in history, Karine received the CNC Innovation Fund in 2010 for a historical series project about the Valois teenagers, Génération 1568. Since then, she has written and co-written several episodes of 52-minute series, where she also served as the head writer (Mes amis, mes amours, mes emmerdes, Origines, etc.).
Convinced of the importance of passing on her experience to younger generations, Karine also offers training to young actors. She has been a professor at the University of Paris Nanterre for years, teaching in the Master's programme in Audiovisual Writing.
In 2019, she created a historical mini-series, Le Bazar de la Charité, which was highly successful. For the first time, TF1 and Netflix signed an unprecedented partnership to co-finance this series.
In 2022, Karine worked as a consultant on the rewriting of Les Combattantes, alongside the director.
Since then, she has developed a family saga with Netflix, Les Disparus de Noël, and other projects for various broadcasters, always driven by the ambition to entertain the public with strong romantic stakes rooted in the reality of the world we live in.
