NEWEN & UGC Images join forces in International Sales & French Distribution

At the eve of the European Film Market, Newenconnect-TF1 Studio and UGC Images have announced their new collaboration

Indeed, since January 1, 2021, TF1 Studio is in charge of the exclusive international distribution mandate for UGC Images’ films.  Sabine Chemaly’s sales team is handling the worldwide sales of the 2021 new feature films  as well as the rich catalogue of more than 100 titles including “Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amelie Poulain” (“Amelie”) which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

For its part, UGC Images becomes a privileged partner of TF1 Studio film releases with annually 6 to 8 productions that will complete the distributor’s line up.

And regarding the French theatrical market, our team will do their best to launch their movies properly »said Henri Ernst- Head of Distribution at UGC.

And Sabine Chemaly, EVP International Distribution to add « I’m as well very much looking forward to the future and our upcoming films together. UGC is a partner we have been working with for a very long time and with whom we are sharing the same DNA : entertainment, laughter and making the audience/people feel happy. »

 

The two entities have been linked in the past and have jointly shared international successes such as “Qu’est-ce qu’on a fait au Bon Dieu” (“Serial Bad Weddings“) which have scored a $175M worldwide BO.

Already partners for the releases of “C’est quoi cette famille ?” (“We are Family“)  and “C’est quoi cette Mamie?!” (“Who’s that granny?”), TF1 Studio and UGC Images will accompany the third launch of the saga of this joyful family; “C’est quoi ce Papy ?!” (“When Granny meets Grandpa“) which will arrive in theaters this summer and whih sales will be launched at the EFM .
